Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.
Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques
Maintain and repair all plumbing installations.
Understand the layout of installations to be able to perform fixes faster and more effectively.
Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
Install and maintain water supply systems
Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
Install, inspect, and repair plumbing fixtures and systems
Repair and maintain water heaters
Source water lines, drain lines, and sewer lines
Maintain or replace plumbing fixtures such as bathtubs, sinks, and toilets
Repair and replace toilet tanks and parts
Install, replace, or repair water, drainage or sewage systems

Proven 4-10 years’ experience as a plumber
Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly with a great deal of patience
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
Ability to complete written, verbal, and mathematical calculations
Proven track record of being able to accurately read blueprints, schematics, and documents
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to reach conclusions based on minimal supervision
